Plans and prices

Free, Pro and Studio: what each costs, what each includes, and how to work out which one pays for itself.

Every business starts on Free. Pro and Studio add tools and remove the booking fee. You choose and change plans on the web, under Billing, Plan.

Free: $0, forever

  • Your storefront on The Veil.
  • Leads, messages and quick invoicing.
  • Contracts with e-signing.
  • A 3% fee, only on bookings paid through The Veil. If a couple pays you directly, by check or bank transfer, there is no fee at all.
  • One login.

Pro: $500 a year, or $50 a month

Everything in Free, and:

  • 0% fee on every booking.
  • The Verified badge and higher placement in search.
  • The availability calendar couples can browse on your page, and date blocking.
  • Performance numbers and reports, and QuickBooks Online.
  • Your own quick replies, proposal templates (invoice presets) and contract templates.
  • Automations: an automatic "got it", a nudge for couples who went quiet, a review ask, and an away reply.
  • One login included, and up to two extra logins at $250 a year each ($25 a month on monthly billing). That's three people at most; four or more is Studio.

Studio: for teams and venues

Everything in Pro, and:

  • A login for everyone who works there, with no charge per person.
  • Each person owns their own leads, with their own Today page, lead routing and hand-offs (Pro with extra logins has these too). See Your team, roles and who gets new leads.
  • More than one location under one roof: up to 25, on one plan. See Locations.

Studio is $1,999 a year ($199.90 a month) at list. While founding places last it is less: the first 200 Studio businesses pay $1,290 a year ($129 a month), and the next 300 pay $1,390 ($139 a month). See Founding rates.

Annual or monthly

The Annual and Monthly switch at the top applies to all three cards. Annual is two months free; monthly can be cancelled any month. Checkout always shows exactly what you'll be charged.

Which plan pays for itself

Pro pays for itself once about $16,700 a year is paid to you through The Veil ($20,000 on monthly). Below that, the 3% fee costs you less than the plan, and Free is genuinely the better deal. The portal says the same thing under the plans.

The question for Studio is simpler: how many people at your business need to see a booking? One to three is Pro. Four or more is Studio.

Buying a plan

  1. Open Billing and scroll to Plan.
  2. Pick Annual or Monthly.
  3. For Pro, set People who need a login with the + and - buttons, then choose Go Pro. For Studio, choose Get Studio; invite your team after checkout.
  4. Pay in Stripe's secure checkout. You come back to Billing with a welcome note; the new plan can take a few seconds to show.
The Pro card with People who need a login set to 3, showing $500 plus 2 extra seats equals $1,000 a year, and Need more than 3? That's Studio.

Who can change the plan

Only the owner buys, changes or cancels the plan. Managers can see Billing; coordinators and day-of staff don't see it. Plans are managed on the web: The Veil Vendors app shows which plan you're on but doesn't sell or change plans.

Good to know

  • Payouts and plans are separate. You can take card and bank payments on any plan; see Connect payouts.
  • To add or remove logins, change term or cancel, see Change or cancel your plan.
  • A location's plan is its main business's plan, billed once. See Locations.
