Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Wilt Interactive LLC (“we”, “us”) covering your use of The Veil mobile app, our website, and related services (the “Service”).
Please read them. Sections on disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution affect your legal rights.
Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and they must agree to these Terms on your behalf. You must be at least 18 to purchase a subscription or to send or receive money through the registry features.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@theveilwedding.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deletion is permanent and is described in our Privacy Policy.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
The Veil offers a free tier and a paid upgrade, The Veil Plus. Plus is sold either as a renewing subscription (monthly or annual) or as a single whole-wedding payment that does not renew. Current pricing is shown in the app and on our website before you purchase.
Purchases made in the iOS or Android app
- The subscription is billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account at the price shown at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in The Veil. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us. We can help you contact them, but we cannot issue a refund on their behalf.
Purchases made on the web
- Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe and renew automatically until canceled.
- Prices on the web do not include sales tax. Where we are required to collect it, it is worked out from your billing address, shown at checkout before you pay, and added to each charge. In the app, Apple or Google handle any tax.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods.
The whole-wedding pass
- The whole-wedding pass is a single payment, not a subscription. It does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and you will not be charged again.
- It runs until 60 days after the wedding date on your plan. If no wedding date is set when you buy, it runs for 24 months from the date of purchase.
- If you change your wedding date after buying, the end date follows the date on your plan.
- It is bought once per account. If you already hold it, the app will not sell it to you again.
- Bought in the app, it is a non-consumable purchase through Apple or Google and refunds are theirs to give under their policies. Bought on the web, it is processed by Stripe and, except where required by law, is non-refundable.
We may change prices. If we do, we will give you notice before the change applies to your next renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Features included in each tier may change as the product develops; we will not remove a materially significant paid feature without notice.
Registry cash funds
Please read this section carefully — it describes what we do and do not do when money moves between users.
The Service lets a couple receive monetary gifts (“cash funds”) from their guests. Payments are processed by Stripe, and couples receive funds through a Stripe Connect account they create and control.
- We are not a bank, money transmitter, escrow agent, or trustee. We do not hold your funds. Payments flow through Stripe under Stripe’s agreements, which you also agree to when you set up payouts.
- Platform fee. We charge a platform fee on cash fund contributions, disclosed in the app before a contribution is made. Stripe charges its own processing fees separately.
- Payouts. Timing, identity verification, and eligibility for payouts are determined by Stripe, not by us. Stripe may hold, delay, or reverse funds under its policies.
- Gifts are between users. A contribution is a transaction between the guest and the couple. We are not a party to it, we do not guarantee that any gift will be given, received, or used in any particular way, and we do not mediate disagreements about gifts.
- Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks are handled between the guest, the couple, and Stripe. If a contribution is reversed, the couple is responsible for the reversed amount and any associated fees.
- Taxes. You are solely responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations arising from money you receive or give through the Service. We do not provide tax advice.
Collaborators, guests, and shared data
The Service is built for shared planning. When you invite a partner, secondary host, or co-planner, you grant them access to the parts of your wedding you select, including the ability to view and change that content. When you invite guests, they can see the wedding information you publish to them.
You are responsible for who you grant access to and for what they do with that access. You can change or revoke a collaborator’s access at any time, but you cannot undo actions they have already taken or information they have already seen.
When you upload guest information, you confirm you have the right to share it and that you have told those people you are using The Veil to plan your event. See the guest section of our Privacy Policy.
Your partner, joining as a secondary host, has the same access to your wedding as you. A co-planner or a Day-of Coordinator has only the access you give them; a coordinator’s changes take effect without your approval. If you let a planner you booked see or change parts of your plan, the same applies to them, and you can change or stop it at any time.
Sharing with the vendors you book
Vendors see what you send them and, once you have booked and paid them through the Service, the parts of your plan you choose to share: for example your timeline, your floor plan, your music, and the information in “For your vendors”. Each is a separate choice you can reverse. When you lock your final guest list, a caterer or venue you have booked and paid sees each guest’s name, party, table and dietary needs, because they need them to serve your wedding.
On the day, a venue or planner you have booked may run your wedding day in the Service: updating the timeline, checking guests in, and sending updates to you, your vendors and your guests. Vendors use your information to provide their services to you; they may not use it to market to your guests.
Emails and updates to your guests
When you send save-the-dates, invitations or reminders through the Service, or when you or your coordinator send an update on the wedding day, we email the guests you have given us an address for, and notify guests who use the app, on your behalf. Send them only to people who expect to hear about your wedding, and only about your wedding. Every email lets the guest stop further emails, and we honor that. We may limit how many updates can be sent to guests in a day.
Photos from your guests
Guests can add photos to your wedding’s gallery from their invitation page. You decide whether other guests, your photographer and your planner can see them, and you can hide or delete any photo. Photos must follow the acceptable use rules below; we may remove any that do not.
The gallery has limits on the number of photos and videos, which are higher with Plus. After your wedding, photos are kept for 12 months on the free plan and three years with Plus. Before they are removed we will tell you and give you the chance to download them, or to keep the gallery for a yearly fee shown in the app.
Reviews
Only couples who booked and paid a vendor through the Service can review that vendor. Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. The vendor can post one public reply. We may remove reviews that break these terms, but we do not remove a review because it is negative.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create in the Service — your planning data, photos, posts, messages, and other content (“Your Content”).
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely so that we can operate and improve the Service and make it available to the people you have shared it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in routine backups and content others have already saved or reshared.
If you post publicly in our social features, you additionally grant other users the ability to view and interact with that content in the ways the Service permits.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to post it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the Service to facilitate anything illegal.
- Post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers a child.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organization.
- Upload someone else's personal information without the right to do so, or scrape or harvest data from the Service.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property rights.
- Interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
- Attempt to circumvent paid features, usage limits, or access controls.
- Use automated systems to access the Service in a way that degrades it for others.
Reporting and moderation
You can report content or users from within the app. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts where we consider our Terms have been broken. Content that receives multiple reports may be hidden automatically pending review.
We aim to act proportionately, and where we take action against your content or account we will tell you the reason unless we are legally prevented from doing so or doing so would compromise an investigation. If you believe we got it wrong, contact support@theveilwedding.com and we will review the decision.
Third-party services and links
The Service integrates with and links to third parties, including Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, Spotify, Amazon, and mapping and search providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Vendor, venue, and product listings are provided for convenience. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee any third-party vendor, and any arrangement you make with one is between you and them. As an Amazon Associate we may earn commission from qualifying purchases.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and the name and logo of The Veil, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create legal or security risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first.
If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid, unused subscription period. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — continue to apply.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that data will never be lost, or that AI-generated suggestions — including budgets, checklists, timelines, and vendor recommendations — will be accurate or suitable. Those are suggestions, not professional advice. Your wedding is your responsibility: please keep your own record of critical details and confirm arrangements directly with your vendors.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wilt Interactive LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — even if we have been advised such damages are possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) fifty United States dollars.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wilt Interactive LLC and its officers and contractors from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party — including guest information you upload without the right to share it.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If you live in the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction whose consumer law gives you the protection of your local courts and laws, nothing here removes that protection.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@theveilwedding.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally. Most disagreements can be worked out this way.
If we cannot resolve it, disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in any court to protect its intellectual property.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service develops. If a change is material, we will give you notice in the app or by email before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and delete your account.
