Plan in your venue's room

If you've booked your venue on The Veil, you don't have to draw their room. You plan in the room they drew, on one shared plan, and you both see changes as they happen.

Open your venue's room

1. On Home, tap Seating.
2. If you have no plan yet, you'll see "Booked with" your venue. Tap Start my floor plan, then At followed by your venue's name.
3. If you already have plans, tap New and choose At your venue.

You'll see a message that you're planning in your venue's room and that they'll see your changes live. If they haven't drawn their room yet, we let you know, ask them to, and suggest sketching your own for now. When their room is ready, your seating comes with you.

What you can change

• Your pieces (tables, the sweetheart table and so on): move, add and seat them freely.
• Their pieces (the room, the bar, the stage): you can't move them directly. Drag one, or tap Suggest a change in its Details, and we ask whether to suggest it to your venue, with an optional note. They'll answer on the plan.

A banner under the plan chips says Shared with your venue, and "they're looking now" when they have it open.

The Venue sheet

The toolbar's last button reads Venue. It shows:

• How the shared plan works, and the date they'll take it for setup, if your final count has a due date.
• Suggestions, from you or from them, with Show me, Withdraw for yours, and Accept or Decline for theirs. Answered ones are kept under Answered.
• What changed: a running history of who added, moved or turned what.

When they take it for setup

When your final count is due, your venue takes the plan for setup, and you're told your floor plan is final. The banner changes to With your venue for setup. You can still seat guests. For anything on the floor, send them a suggestion.

Good to know

• Your venue sees the tables and how many seats are taken, never your guests' names, until you lock your final list.
• A copy of this plan is your own, with the venue's room pinned in place. See More layouts and a rain plan.
