Export your data

Your data is yours. Under Leads, Import or export, Take everything with you, owners and managers can download it all as CSV spreadsheets that open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Download it

1. Choose Prepare my export. It says Gathering… while it collects everything.
2. A button appears for each file, with how many rows it has:

• Leads and clients
• Invoices
• Payments
• Refunds
• Appointments
• Contracts

1. Choose each one to download it. A file with no rows is greyed out.

What's in each file

• Leads and clients: name, contact, email and phone, event date, guests, budget, event type and name, company, source, stage, why it was lost, tags, their first message, whether they're on The Veil, and who looks after it.
• Invoices: number, client, amount with any discount, service charge, tax and gratuity, due date, status, when and how it was paid, refunds, and its lines.
• Payments: amount, The Veil's fee, Stripe's fee, refunds and status.
• Refunds: amount, reason and date, and which payment and invoice they came from.
• Appointments: kind, title, client, times, status and notes.
• Contracts: title, client, and when each was sent, viewed, signed and countersigned, and who signed.

Other exports

• Revenue by month on Billing has Download CSV.
• Reports can be downloaded from Reports. See Reports and QuickBooks.
• QuickBooks Online keeps your books up to date as you go, on Pro and Studio.

Good to know

• The export is of the location you're working in. If you run several locations, switch to each and export it. See Locations.
• Leaving The Veil? Export first, then see Disconnect or delete your business.
• Only owners and managers can export. Coordinators and day-of staff don't see this screen.
• Export whenever you like, as often as you like. There's no charge and no limit.
