Ask to join a wedding

If you have the couple's wedding link but you're not on their list, you can ask to be added. Nobody joins a guest list automatically: the couple approves every request.

Send a request

1. Open the couple's wedding link and tap Not on the list yet? Ask to join.
2. Enter your First name and Last name.
3. Add your Mobile number (so they can send your invitation).
4. Choose How many of you?, from 1 to 6.
5. If you like, say How do you know (the couple)?
6. Tap Send my request.

You'll see Request sent and It's with (the couple), with your own link. Copy it, or Open your link. Keep it: once the couple adds you, that link becomes your invitation, where you'll reply and see the day.

While you wait

Your link shows Your request to join and With (the couple) now. If you open it in The Veil app, your invitation will be waiting there the moment the couple says yes.

What the messages mean

• (The couple) already have someone by that name on their list. You may already be invited. Tap I was invited: find my invitation and search by name.
• (The couple) have finalised their guest list, so they're not taking requests. Reach out to them directly.
• Lots of requests just now. Try again in a few minutes.

Good to know

• The couple sees your name, party size, phone number and note, and decides which events you're invited to.
• Don't assume you're coming until your link turns into an invitation.
