Your day-of coordinator

What your coordinator can do before and on the day, and the tools in their app.

Your Day-of Coordinator is the one person holding the phone on your wedding day: a friend, a relative or a coordinator you hired who isn't on The Veil as a business. You appoint them from your guest list with Access & Delegation (Plus). See Co-planners and your day-of coordinator.

What they can open

Your timeline, guest list, seating (floor plan), vendors, budget and notes. Not your gift registry, Content Hub, music, Wedding Vibe or DIY projects.

Before the day and on the day

  • Always, a coordinator's edits to the timeline, guest list, seating, vendors and notes save immediately, with nothing waiting on you.
  • While day-of mode is on, they can also approve your co-planners' timeline and seating requests, and their timeline changes reach your guests. Their screens say Day-of Coordinator and Your changes save immediately — nothing waits for approval. See Day-of mode.
  • When they move something on the timeline during day-of mode, your guests who use the app are told automatically. You choose each time whether to tell guests; your coordinator doesn't get the choice, because a change they make on the day is one guests need.

Their app

Their guest passport has extra sections only a Coordinator sees:

  • Coordinator Access: shortcuts to each part of the wedding they can open, marked Saves instantly.
  • Day-of Contacts: everyone you made a day-of contact, with Call.
  • Issue Log: they can flag problems as they happen, like "florist running late". Nothing flagged. That's the goal.
  • Vendors: each vendor with their arrival time and a Call button.
  • Location & Venues: where everything is, with each address opening in maps.

Afterwards

The issues they flagged stay on your account. Open Global Settings and look under The wedding day for What happened on the day, with each issue, who flagged it and whether it was Resolved. It's read-only.

Good to know

  • Your coordinator is always a day-of contact for guests. Add their phone number to their guest entry so guests can reach them.
  • Give your coordinator's number to your vendors too: add it to each vendor's details under Budget, Vendors.
  • If your venue or planner is booked on The Veil, their coordinator can run the day from their side as well. See The wedding day.
